Take care to repeat unceasingly the words of this book of the Law,
meditate on them day and night in order to obey them and apply all that is written there,
for then you will be successful in your undertakings, then you will succeed. (Joshua 1:8)
Blessed is the man who walks not according to the counsel of the wicked,
who will not stand in the way of sinners,
who does not sit in the company of these people who mock God.
He places all his joy in the Law of the Eternal, which he meditates on day and night.
It prospers like a tree planted near a stream;
it always gives its fruit when the season returns.
Its foliage is always green; everything he does succeeds. (Psalms 1:1-3)
